Embraer Executive Jets debuts Legacy 450 at EBACE 2015 ...

Geneva, Switzerland, May 2015 – The Embraer Executive Jets’ newest mid-light jet, the Legacy 450, is making its European debut at the 15th European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE). The aircraft landed yesterday at Geneva International Airport and will be on the static display at Geneva’s Palexpo Exhibition Center, in Switzerland, May 19-21.

The development of the Legacy 450 is advancing on schedule, with its entry into service expected in the fourth quarter of 2015. The aircraft is performing very similarly to the midsize Legacy 500, which was certified last year with all its design goals having been achieved or surpassed.

“The Legacy 450 and the Legacy 500, which will be presented together for the first time at EBACE, break paradigms in business aviation, offering premium comfort with a standup cabin, flat floor and outstanding performance,” said Marco Túlio Pellegrini, President & CEO, Embraer Executive Jets. “The Legacy 450 has the largest cabin in its class and is the first jet in its category to replace conventional controls with digital full fly-by-wire technology. This aircraft is a flawless combination of technology and design, which defies every definition of a mid-light jet.”

The Company will showcase its entire aircraft portfolio on static display, which comprises the entry-level Phenom 100E, the Phenom 300 light jet, the mid-light Legacy 450, the midsize Legacy 500, the large-cabin Legacy 650, and the ultra-large-cabin Lineage 1000E.

A press conference will be held on Monday, May 18, in Hall 3, Room Q, at 3:00 p.m.,

The cabin includes a refreshment center at the entrance, a rear private lavatory, and a carry-on stowage area. The total baggage space is the largest in the aircraft’s category.

The Legacy 450 is the first business aircraft in its segment with Full Fly-By-Wire technology, featuring side stick flight controls, the state-of-the-art Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics suite with four 15.1-inch high resolution LCD displays, graphical flight planning, Jeppesen charts and maps, and the Synthetic Vision System (SVS). The optional Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) encompasses the latest Rockwell Collins Compact Head-Up Display (HUD) and Enhanced Vision System (EVS).
